Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) is thrilled to announce an art competition, titled "Sculpting Futures," in collaboration with Dubai Cares, a UAE-based global philanthropic organisation. The competition is dedicated to the noble cause of educating children and youth globally through education.
As a cornerstone of the financial services industry, DIFC has long championed professional development and higher education. We are now, extending our commitment to shaping futures by harnessing the power of art. All artists and galleries are invited to submit their portfolios and proposals for an awe-inspiring art installation that embodies the spirit of education and the promise of a brighter tomorrow. This is your chance to make a lasting impact through your creativity and talent! The winning proposal will be selected, commissioned and showcased prominently within the prestigious DIFC district.

About the initiative:
- Dubai Cares will encourage individuals and organisations from the DIFC community to donate an amount and their contribution will be highlighted creatively on the winning sculpture.
- To encourage a higher number of donations, DIFC's contribution would be the commissioning of the art piece that will feature all the donor's names.
- The winning proposal will be chosen based on criteria set out by the art committee from the DIFC and Dubai Cares along with an art expert.
Guidelines and Judging Criteria:
- The proposal should highlight how the art piece will incorporate all the donor names in a creative manner.
- All proposals must be submitted to functions@difc.ae and may be supported by a 3D render or physical model. Physical models can be dropped off at The Gate Building, East Wing, Level 14, DIFC.
- The sculpture should be able to display the names of donors differently based on the contribution amount. The various levels of contribution are yet to be defined.
- Emirati artists are encouraged to participate.
- Details on the art piece may be required at a later stage for shortlisted art pieces.
- Cleaning and maintenance instructions must be highlighted and should be minimal.
Gallery/ Artist Recognition
The winning gallery/artist will be recognised jointly through Dubai Cares’ and DIFC’s communication platforms as well as have their name displayed on the structure.
